Omar Puente joined TASCO in November 2019 and is responsible for supporting Mexico accounts by overseeing and expanding existing business, as well as identifying and securing new business opportunities. His role involves driving sales growth through category insights and delivering fact-based recommendations that enhance sales strategy. Before joining TASCO, Omar gained over six years of experience in the industry, including work as a sales analyst at a Mexican rep agency focused on the aftermarket business, and as an account executive managing key retail accounts in Mexico. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from UANL and an MBA in Marketing from U-ERRE. What excites Omar about his position is the opportunity to help partners capitalize on business opportunities and leverage his analytical skills to create effective strategies for growth. One of his most notable accomplishments was implementing a business intelligence solution to streamline big data management and reporting, which improved decision-making across the organization. This initiative led to an Outstanding Performance award in 2020, in his first year at TASCO. Described as energetic, enthusiastic, analytical, proactive, and innovative, Omar lives by Michael Jordan’s quote, “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.” Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, exploring new places and cultures, keeping up with technology trends, and going to the movies with his wife on weekends.
